Oconee is a lightly raced 4yo gelding formerly with Chris Waller and was owned by Deb Kepitis (WInx). They decided to move him on as he was not a group horse which these owners want. Oconee was originally purchased for $125,000 and has only had 6 starts for 3 placings in the very competitive regions of Hawkesbury and Wyong. The horses that he has raced against have gone on to be very competitive in Metro Sydney. We know that this form is very good for Queensland racing. 

He is still a maiden which gives us a great opportunity to go through the grades with him. We think he will go on to be a terrific 1400m to 2000m horse as he is still pretty much untapped. The horse is sound and in great shape.

He will be trained by the current Rockhampton Premiership winning trainer in Adrian Coome and you will join the Ares Racing Australia team.
