It’s been a great week for the Ares Racing and Hatch Team’s with Three Winners.
It was exciting to have the new Hatch stable apprentice Dylan Bennett notch up his first win for Lindsay in Queensland. The win brought up Fifty Winners for the Season for Lindsay Hatch keeping him running Third in the Queensland Provincial Training Premiership.
Breakwater Boy led all the way to win in Townsville over 1400m with a perfect ride from Lachlan Overall. “It has taken him a few runs to get fit this time in after having a long spell following last year’s Carnival, it’s great to see the old Breakwater Boy back to his best,” said John Horan.
At the Gold Coast, Uchi was outstanding again, leading all the way for Emily Lang. From the good gate Uchi never really looked like getting beaten in another strong performance. A horse on the way up.
Writtle was just brilliant winning first up at Gatton under Dylan Bennett. “Writtle just never came up last prep and was disappointing. He had a good long spell and this time he looks like a new horse, and I have never had the horse going better,” said Lindsay Hatch.

Northernontap was again plagued by a heavy 9 track on Saturday. Wait for him to get back to a good track where he won by 5 Lengths first up.
