A riding double to Jake Malloy capped off a great week for the team with three winners including the tough 5-year-old DIS GO BOOM bringing up his third win in style in Toowoomba on Saturday night.
First winner of the week was PIZZO notching up his third win, in the Class 2 Handicap at Ipswich over 1500m. Justin Stanley gave the 5-year-old the gun run fourth on the fence. On straightening up Stanley never went around a horse getting a beautiful run along the fence to pull away to win by 1.8 lengths. PIZZO has now won $70,590 in prize money.
On Saturday night in Toowoomba the Spirit of Boom gelding DIS GO BOOM brought up his third win in the Class 2 Handicap over 1200m. From an outside gate, Jake Malloy had to push forward to have the 5-Year-old sitting outside the leader facing the breeze. Coming around the home corner, Jake urged the horse to the front where he was able to hold off all the challenges. Great tough win that!
American Saint could not have been ridden more perfectly by Jake Malloy in the BM68 over 1850m. Malloy had the 5-year-old mare placed perfectly in third on the fence. Before the turn the leader took off to lead by four lengths, but American Saint was able to cruise up at the 200m to put the race away by 1.5 lengths. The victory gave the mare her sixth win for her career.
Regal Addition was a huge run coming from well back to flash home for second in the Class 4 Plate over 1200m first up. He is still only a class 2 horse so he certainly looks in for a good prep this time in.
Devil’s Rite is another who got home well on the night to run third in the BM 65 over 1000m. A win doesn’t look far away for the four-year-old.
Great week in racing, congratulations to all the owners and staff.
